Cops Like Us

New series from Dragonfly TV following Staffordshire Police officers, who talk candidly about the frustrations of being on the beat in Stoke-on-Trent, one of the UK’s most deprived cities. Filmed over six months, the series captures emergency response teams trying to combat a backlog of cases, as well as a rise in gang culture, hate crime and domestic violence. Interviews with the Chief Constable and his team also reveal how they manage their limited resources, and how they feel about the decisions they have to make.

Halo provided full Picture and Sound Post Production.

Director: Richard Wyllie says…
The team at Halo made sure all the post production ran really smoothly, a pleasure to work with, couldn’t have asked for more. And they have the best runners I’ve encountered!

Colourist: Paul Koren says…
Cops Like Us has been an interesting project to work on as we have tried to stray away from the usual visual tropes seen in most police factual based programmes. We have looked to create a more warm and nostalgic feel to the show as it portrays the past and present of the Staffordshire police department.
