ONE EXTRAORDINARY YEAR is a feature length documentary for Red Bull, which tells the story of six world class athletes whose lives and dreams have been turned upside down by the pandemic.
Filmed around the world throughout 2020 and 2021, the documentary features US fencer Miles Chamley-Watson, Argentinian sailing duo Santiago Lange and Cecilia Carranza, British heptathlete Niamh Emerson, and beach volleyball players, Anders Moland Christian Sørum of Norway.
Interweaving each athlete’s narrative across the year, ONE EXTRAORDINARY YEAR tells the complete physical, mental and emotional story of each individual’s journey, revealing what it really takes to be a world-class athlete at this unique and unprecedented time.
